high-definition clinical image quality, PreXion3D EXPEDITION achieves a precise balance between exposure dose and high-definition clinical image quality. PreXion3D EXPEDITION has one of the industry&#8217;s smallest Focal Spot (0.3 mm) and voxel sizes from 0.06 mm to 0.3 mm for all FOV sizes, and the smallest voxel size 0.06mm in Endo mode for high-resolution diagnosis of tooth tissue and structures. In addition, the newly developed IGZO FPD is equipped with a high X-ray tube voltage of 110 kV, pulsed X-ray irradiation, and 16-bit grayscale to achieve both higher image quality for a wide range of dental applications and lower radiation exposure for patient safety.  <\/p>\n<br>\n    <div class=\"clearfix\">\n<div class=\"float_1\">\n<font color=\"#2886be\"><strong>What is a focal spot?<\/strong><\/font><br>\n<p>The focal spot, also called focus, is the area on the target of the X-ray tube which is struck by the electron stream and emits X-rays. The larger the focal spot\u2019s area, the poorer the detail of the image. The PreXion3D EXPEDITION utilizes one of the smallest size focal spots in the industry at 0.3mm for all FOVs.<center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/img\/focalspot.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"50%\"><\/center><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"float_2\">\n<font color=\"#2886be\"><strong>What is a voxel?<\/strong><\/font><br>\n<p>A combination of the words \u201cvolumetric\u201d and \u201cpixel\u201d, a voxel is a three-dimensional volume element shaped like an isometric cube.
